This YMCA recreational facility consists of a 58,000 square foot, two-story building with both an indoor and outdoor swimming pool. The Kerr Family YMCA, locally known as the Wakefield Y, has a large gymnasium with two athletic courts of maple flooring, and an indoor walking/running track. It also contains a two-story rock climbing wall and meeting space that can be used for children’s birthday parties. A large fitness area boasts state-of-the-art equipment, free weights, aerobic workout areas, as well as workout classrooms and administrative offices. There is a nursery/childcare center and a men’s and women’s locker room with full amenities.
