About
The Upper School houses Ravenscroft’s math and science wing and is the signature building on campus. The two-story upper school classroom building features the newest in technological and laboratory features. This project rehabilitated the existing bell tower. The project constructed the musical and artistic classroom building that also includes a performance hall, cafeteria and dining hall, and administrative offices. The project renovated approximately 190,000 square foot of the existing three-story school. During the renovation, the building was continuously occupied by 1,700 students, plus faculty and staff members. This library services the Middle and Upper School and fosters team collaboration and learning. The Winston Library services the Lower School for pre-K through 5th grades. J.M. Thompson performed renovation services on this project that received the Sir Walter Raleigh Award for Historic Preservation/Rehabilitation in the community.
